Bark presents Brian Gladwell's new approach to his medium of wood. Highly refined surfaces combined with rough exteriors add a new dimension to Gladwell's functional sculpture. The contrast of textures as well as treatment shows the dichotomy through which we often experience the natural world.

Zane Wilcox's development of texture and scale in his stoneware sculpture allows for a creative use of light on the surface. Further enhanced by a clever application of reflective gold and strong colours the surface becomes integral to the experience of his vessels bringing a vibrational quality that would not otherwise exist.
