“Queer Newfoundland Hockey League” by Lucas Morneau opens Saturday, May 11 and will run until July 6 at the Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery.
“Queer Newfoundland Hockey League” (QNHL) is a fictional hockey league based on fourteen teams, all of which use pejoratives used against the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as team names. Lucas Morneau (he/them) reclaims the slurs often used against queer individuals both on and off the ice.
Lucas will be giving an in-person Artist Talk with Reception on opening night, Saturday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery. Or you can access the livestream by going to the Saskatchewan Craft Council facebook page.
