Black Spruce Gallery: Lakeland Region

The Lakeland region has strong roots in fine art. The Black Spruce Gallery (BSG), on Hwy #2, is a forest gem that you will not want to miss. Discovering the gallery nestled among farms and pastures in the heart of Lakeland, 130 kilometers north of Saskatoon at Northside Sask., becomes part of this fine art experience.  The Black Spruce Gallery displays quality original creations by an impressive roster of Canadian artists. 

Founded by Saskatchewan artist Cheryl Tuck-Tallon in 2012, the BSG represents over 30 artists throughout the year. Many are internationally acclaimed while others are emerging artists. Most have a connection to the U of S Art and Design program as instructors or graduates, while others have strong histories with the Kenderdine Art Camp. BSG strives to present a spectrum of fine art that reflects the Boreal landscape and also strives to provide price points that make the art accessible for all to enjoy.

Gallery hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m., and from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. The gallery is closed on Wednesdays. Summer hours are 10:00 to 5:00 daily, except Saturdays, they are open from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
