SaskGalleries to host 9th annual premier fine art fair Art Now in Saskatoon

(Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) - Art Now, the largest fine art fair of modern and contemporary art on the Canadian prairies, is back in Saskatoon in Prairieland Park’s Hall E, September 19-22, and online from September 20-30.

The 9th edition of Art Now will run alongside the inaugural Saskatchewan Craft Council’s Craft Is… Fine Craft Show + Sale, making for an unforgettable event that art enthusiasts won’t want to miss. The shows will feature hundreds of works of art available for purchase from Saskatchewan commercial galleries and artists.

“We’re thrilled to be hosting Art Now alongside Craft Is... this year,” says Kristin Wagman, Executive Director of SaskGalleries. “This show is truly a can’t-miss for art buyers. Attendees will be able to engage with artists, gallerists, and exceptional original art to find the perfect pieces for their collection.”

The show features an opening night reception on Thursday, September 19, beginning at 6:30 pm. Those in attendance will enjoy live music, appetizers, door prize draws, and a first look at the incredible art available. Tickets are $50 ($30 for artists and students) and can be purchased online. Friday offers a special “Art Night Out,” where attendees can enjoy live jazz music, live artist demonstrations, and Happy Hour at the fair concession and lounge. The show continues until September 22, with a panel session, artist talks, family programming, and more.

Returning to this year’s Art Now is stART, an area of the show dedicated to emerging artists and those in the early stages of their career, chosen by exhibiting galleries. Attendees are invited to discover the work of these up-and-coming artists throughout the event as stART booths will be on display for the entire duration of Art Now.
