4th Annual Art Now Fine Art Fair Closes in Regina
The 4th annual Art Now Fine Art Fair came to a close Sunday, September 22, 2019, with almost 2,500 visitors throughout the weekend and our highest number of sales to date. Twelve exhibiting galleries from three provinces came together in one location to show their selection of quality fine art and share their knowledge with patrons of the show, including a couple of historical Canadian greats. Attendees came from all over the country with most saying they will return next year.
Highlights of Art Now, aside from the wide variety of amazing contemporary and historical Canadian art, included our interesting and informative panel sessions and artist talks throughout the weekend. Many attendees enjoyed speaking with the artists themselves and learning about their inspiration and process. The hallway and floor video installations by artist Giovanna Graziosi Casimiro were enjoyed by many, and watching the Craftsperson in Residence, Reagan Lowe, create her star blanket quilt from start to finish was mesmerizing. We had art lovers of all ages searching through Art Now to complete our art scavenger hunt. Thank you to all who exhibited, attended, volunteered, and organized the show for making this year’s event a success.
SaskGalleries is excited to announce that the 5th annual Art Now Fine Art Fair will be held on September 24 until 27, 2020, at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon. We can’t wait to celebrate SaskGalleries’ milestone 20th anniversary alongside our milestone 5th annual art fair. See you in September! SaskGalleries is grateful to our major supporter, Creative Saskatchewan, and to all sponsors and supporters, for making the show possible and accessible to all with free admission
Exhibitor applications for the 5th annual Art Now will open in early 2020.
